Welcome to Pressed Flower Review, a literary journal that invites you to explore the delicate beauty of words. Here, we celebrate the art of storytelling through poetry, fiction, essays and art that resonates with the heart and soul.
General Guidelines
Each issue, there will be a theme. Please ensure that the work you submit relates to this theme, as any irrelevant work will be immediately rejected. All submissions should be sent to pressedflowerreview@gmail.com.
Please send all submissions to: pressedflowerreview@gmail.com with the subject line, SUBMISSION: GENRE, TITLE, NAME
For example: SUBMISSION: POETRY, ROSE, ELLA NEWMAN

Fiction
At Pressed Flowers Review, we're particularly interested in fiction that is emotionally evocative. Surrealist, philosophical themes are strongly encouraged. Send us work that will leave readers aching, work that they will think back on for months or even years.
No more than 2000 words per piece please! Send as a google doc, word file or pdf. Preferably font 12 Times New Roman and double spaced, but don't stress too much! I won't reject your work based on formatting issues (unless I can't access or read it!).
Poetry
At Pressed Flower Review, we are dedicated to showcasing emotionally powerful works that embrace the spectrum of human experience. Like fiction, we're particularly interested in emotionally devestating work, work that makes us hold or breath, that connects us through our experiences, whether those be positive or negative.
No line limit for poems, but please only send 3 poems per issue. Submit as a pdf, google doc or word file, but please double check that it is formatted correctly. Experimental forms are encouraged!
Essays
Creative non-fiction is an undervalued art form, and at Pressed Flower Review we are particularly interested in pursing this further. We're interested in expressions of experience or philosophy, in deep thoughts and existential despair. Send us your introspection wrapped in beautiful words and paragraphs.

Artwork
Emotion can be expressed in many ways, and art is a particularly beautiful form. We're interested in art that will make viewers gasp and pause, art that inspired poetry and pondering. Send us your most beautiful and devastating.
